Flowing Like Milk and Honey

Words don't escape me, I let them out silky and smooth like warm honey…

Morning light peeks through
pale then golden like fingers
tickling me awake

I relax my head
against the glass looking out
at Saturday’s calm

And I find myself
lazily turning pages
submerged in its world

Saturday’s lifestyle
finds me wanting perfect peace
and time to renew

This is really beautiful. I’m looking forward to my own Saturday morning, and I hope it’s half as peaceful as this. ☺️
